Athletic Training
Athletic Trainers (ATs) are health care professionals who collaborate with physicians to provide preventative services, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions.
Athletic Trainers focus on:
Risk management, and prevention of athletic injuries (physical conditioning, education, screening etc)
Recognition, evaluation, and assessment of athletic injuries
Immediate care of athletic injuries (emergency medial situations through application of first aid and emergency procedures)
Treatment, rehabilitation, and reconditioning of athletic injuries (manual therapy, modalities, therapeutic activities etc)
